So What's With The Baby Chick?
People ask this question practically every time we deliver our promtional merchandise to a new client. They see the pretty yellow chick on our invoice and can't help ask us about it.
Promotional Advertising Specialties is a Kassenoff family business - much like the Kassenoff chicken breeding business started over 75 years ago. We use it as a reminder of our deep family roots.
The Kassenoff Modern Breeding Farm and Modern Hatchery was started in 1928 by Dave Kassenoff. When his sons, Maurice and Sidney, were old enough to help, they too became an integral part of the business. The chicken farms of Toms River, NJ have long since been converted to housing developments, shopping malls and baseball fields; the original Kassenoff family farm sat on the property which is now the Ocean County Mall.
But the Kassenoffs have remained an integral part of the commerce of Toms River, Ocean County and even Southern New Jersey.
Maurice runs a very successful kitchen design and cabinet manufacturing business on Route 37.
Sidney, former Chairman of the Board for Community Medical Center(now a part of Saint Barnabas Health Care System) and President of United Way of Ocean County 1993, founded Promotional Advertising Specialties with his wife Rosalind.
Continuing the family roots in Sidney's and Rosalind's son Marc, who is now the President of Promotional Advertising Specialties. Marc is an active member of the Toms River Rotary Club, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Ocean County. He was honored by the United Way as Ocean County's 40 Under 40.
In its 15 years of operation, Promotional Advertising Specialties has become known as the source for promotional merchandise of Southern New Jersey. The company provides all types of advertising specialties to a spectrum of organizations across New Jersey and America.
Regardless of what we are providing, the chick is a reminder to us and our customers of the Kassenoff family pledge that you will get oustanding products at a fair price with outstanding servive.
